Chief James Sartell is pleased to report that the Townsend Police Department is hosting Coffee with a Cop to give community members a chance to converse with police over coffee, while also collecting toys for the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program.

WHEN:

Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 8 to 10 a.m.

WHERE:

Apple Meadow Hardware, 10 Elm St, Townsend, MA 01469

WHAT:

Townsend Police will be hosting a Coffee with a Cop event for residents and community members to meet and engage with members of the department.

This event is an opportunity for residents to speak with police personnel, ask questions, and get to know members of the community.

Coffee will be provided for attendees courtesy of the Townsend Police Department.

Residents will also have an opportunity to drop off donations for the Toys for Tots program during the event.

“This event will be a great opportunity for community members to stop by and get to know their local police over cups of coffee,” said Chief Sartell. “We will also be collecting new, unwrapped toys as part of our efforts to support the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots, and to bring a brighter Christmas to children in need.”

Toys for Tots was founded by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947 to donate toys to kids who are less fortunate during the holiday season. For more information on the Toys for Tots program, visit the foundation’s website.
